Tug support

Large ships have very low turn rates. Maneuvering inside of a harbor area or on tight water streets is a real challenge. Like in real, you can request tug boat support via the radio menu.

Select the closest harbor with tug boats available and choose how the tug boats should push or pull your vessel:

You can assign Tug boats on the following positions:

• Bow port/starboard
• Center port/ starboard
• Stern port/starboard

On each position you can select if the tug pulls or pushes, by clicking on the blue position button.

Plan the setup careful. In some configurations, the forces might eliminate each other, resulting in a non moving ship.

Tug boats can only be placed around the ship, where is sufficient room to maneuver. So, if your vessel is docked on port side, it is impossible for a tug to be placed there.

Once you clicked the “Request” button and harbor control confirmed that the tug boat s are available, it takes some time until the boats arrive on scene, depending on the distance to the harbor.

When reaching the final position, you have to stop the tug operation via the radio menu.
