Fishing mission
As captain of a trawler, your mission is to set out from the harbor and conduct a successful fishing run using a stern trawl net.
Harbor Control reports favorable activity of other vessels which have been already departed. Follow their lead or chart your own course.
Deploy your gear at appropriate depths, monitor net tension, and maintain steady speed and heading during trawling. Be mindful of underwater obstacles and avoid overfishing zones.
Fish Finder
Fishing vessels are equipped with a 3D fish finder sonar system. Potential fish swarms are detected and displayed at distances of several hundred meters. A color-coded marker indicates the depth of the swarm:
- Red = deep
- Yellow = medium depth
- Blue = shallow water
As you approach the swarm, more detailed information becomes visible.
Fishing net controls
Make sure to start early enough when preparing to deploy your fishing net.
Ensure the AC bus is active to operate the net system.
Use the control stick to adjust the length of the net. Next to the stick, a display panel shows key information, including:
- Net length
- Deployment depth
- Current weight
- Net status
The status alternates between:
- Off – The net is stowed and inactive
- Active – The net is deployed and ready to catch fish
Bring your catch back to port safely. A good haul means XP — but careless navigation can damage your gear or result in loosing XP.
