Sonar / Echo sounder

Depending on the chosen difficulty level you have either a sonar system or just an echo sounder system available.

Sonar

The 3d sonar shows the depth below keel ahead of the bow. The range can be adjusted to up to 400m. Current depth below keel and at an adjustable distance in front of the ship are display as numbers. The warn depth can be adjusted within a specific range. Once this depth is reached the numbers will start to flash.

Echo sounder

Compared to the Sonar, the Echo sounder only shows the current depth below keel. A histogram shows the found depth for a few minutes. Check the latest readings and the histogram and compare the depth values with the chart values to decide of the movement path is save.

However, the warn depth (below keel) can be also adjusted.
