All stock sceneries contain AI traffic at sea and inside the harbors.

Our AI captains are trained at a quite low level. Don’t expect complex collision avoidance performance. You can use the radar system together with the CPA warning feature to be aware of danger close traffic in an early phase. In case the AI traffic is getting close you should use the horn of the ship to make the AI captain aware of your presence. The AI traffic will hold the position for a certain amount of time, allowing you to finish your maneuver. To interact with AI Traffic via Radio check out the chapter “Ship to ship communication”

Stranded vehicles

It might happen that an AI captain loses control over his vessel and gets stuck close to the coastline. If this happens, it might be necessary to support the AI ship with a tug mission.

Request to support with a tug mission on the next harbor, once you are close to the stranded vessel with an appropriate tugboat.
